I find in photography a way to express myself, to discover, to learn and to share the beautiful world of wine. Wine is a gift from nature, a cultural heritage that has been passed generation after generations for millennia, and we can not afford to loose it.
In each place, I was provided with a natural habitat full of Nature’s wonders, and I was captivated by their charm. Each wine region came with their very own character, through people, culture and traditions. I started taking photos to capture these moments of discovery.
My name is Oscar Oliveras. Since 2010, I have traveled and worked in numerous vineyards and wineries around the world, continuing the steps of my grandfather. He was a viticulturist in Alella.
Unfortunately, all of his knowledge passed away with him too, while I was doing my my first winemaking experience in New Zealand. , as no one in our family had interest in wine at that time.
